Together with Jeldau Kwikkel of Paradiso / Liefde in de Stad we’ve just pitched the Loveslide in de Zwijger. (Are you still with me?) Foundation Het Groene Licht (the Green Light) is looking for an innovative idea to be realized in Amsterdam. The foundation has selected 8 IDEAS and will support one with at least 50.000 euro. It is a very difficult call, but the board will announce the winner this week.
Loveslide is a heart shaped slide intended as a ‘prop’ for human interaction. Two archetypes merged and mirrored: curved stairs lead to straight slides: stunning geometry. Potential collisions might lead to permanent links: big bang… and happily every after.
We still not completely sure were to place it: Museumplein? IJoever? Kop Java? (Love Boat)
Or on top of a canal, doubling as a bridge…
