January 18, 2013Today we bought a new office tool: glasses with LED that mimic the effect of headlights; they allow us to investigate reflective materials. But Kurt came up with another application: to look at models in a brighter way.

January 13, 2013Schlangenbader Straße is a residential building enveloping a Highway in Berlin. The 600 meters long terrace shaped building was designed by Georg Heinrichs in 1976.
The ‘Schlange‘ features an elaborate elevator panel: you run the risk to be run over by a truck on your way up.

January 10, 2013So far there was no decision yet in the tender for the two residential towers on the Colville Estate in Hackney. But it looks like the jury will be able to take their recommendation to the next procurement board which meets on the 15th of January 2013: at least five more days of ‘squeaky bum time’.
Actually we could use some good news… Ah!

January 7, 2013Our profession largely revolves around trust; we should use all possible tools to render a reliable image.
It is a well known fact that dyslexia is related to certain spatial abilities. Good architects can’t spell.
So the least we can do is to switch off our spell check! (However intriguing the corrections turnout every now and then… check this!)
