A Patient Eye

September 28, 2012

In the framework of ‘door de lens van’, Jeroen Musch wrote a realy cool essay for the magazine ArchitectuurNL: a patient eye: “some projects resist to exposing themselves however small and transparent”.

“This porters lodge takes shape only when trucks with their colorful and graphic covers form the walls of the building. The thin layer of glass, a movie screen, separates you only just from the rapidly increasing roars of the trucks. Imagine the first visitors of cinemas that ran off as soon as a steam train would approach”.

“From the outside the glass walls give a totally different impression: first the trucks double, to then consecutively disappear into themselves…”

The golden ‘pill box’ of the Byzantium has been the object of speculation. Over the years, we’ve never ever spotted any signs of life… But now it serves as a basket. Slam Dunk!

Kameleon

September 26, 2012

Kameleon has officially been opened: a big party with Alderman Emile Jaensch, Urwin Vyent, Brian B. and many others.

What a surprise to see the giraffes… Wonder if these were remote family of the animals that appeared in Hans Werlemann’s pictures of Villa Dall’Ava…  killed by Canta?
